Midfielder John Ochieng’ is back and ready for assignments after picking up an injury last year in November in a pre-season match against Posta Rangers.
His recovery path has been good and he was named in the match-day squad against Bidco United just before the league campaign was suspended amid Covid-19 pandemic.
Ochieng’ admits it’s been tough staying out of active football and the saddest bit was to miss CAF matches due to injury.
“It was kind of a set-back to me that I could not believe I missed CAF matches. It wasn’t my wish to stay out… I had a tough time during my injury and it was sad seeing my team struggle with different challenges but I promised never to quit,” he notes.
The hard-tackling midfielder who was signed from Chemelil last year says his target is to make a positive contribution to the team in the aimed success journey: “My target is to make sure the club remains where it has been (top and winning the title) – and I am ready to offer my very best to help the team do so.”
Ochieng’ remains optimistic and banks on team-work to achieve the best when the league campaign resumes: “I see we have gelled and when the league resumes, we will surely make a massive comeback.”
