Gor Mahia is set to revamp its playing unit ahead of the 2020/2021 season.
Chairman Ambrose Rachier disclosed that the new Executive Committee has already held two meetings to chart a strategic way forward for the club.
While they have set some long term and short term goals, Rachier asserts that of immediate importance is the revamping of the playing unit.
The club together with the technical bench has made a decision on the players to retain. While rubbishing reports of player exodus, the club chairman says that some players are set to leave, either upon expiry of their contracts, or due to being deemed surplus to requirements.
“The club has worked with the technical bench to identify players to strengthen the club. While the recruitment process has been challenging due to the Covid-19 challenge, the club has however managed to recruit players to replace those departing and the new players are set for unveiling soon,” noted the Chairman.
