Gor Mahia Youth team striker Samwel Osoo is delighted to be the team’s top scorer in the Football Kenya Federation Division One League this season.
Osoo has found the back of the net 17 times in the 14 matches played before the league was suspended due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
The lad says it’s important for a strike to score goals to help the team get good results: “I am very happy and it feels good to have scored 17 goals so far. It’s important as a striker to score those goals at the right time in order to help the team get a good result.”
The striker says winning titles motivates because the feel-good factor is shared with team-mates. “Winning trophies is always joyous…. it makes me feel good about myself and my team-mates as well.
Playing in the top leagues and becoming a great player remains his target. “I am really eager to play in the top leagues and become a great player because that is every player’s dream.”
